Consent to Participate in a Research Study about the Well-being of Older Australians
You are invited to participate in this study, which aims to improve the well-being and social activities of older Australians who receive government-subsidised residential aged care or Home Care Packages.
This study is part of an evaluation of the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS), being conducted by Monash researchers for the Australian Department of Health and Aged Care.
Whether you are currently involved with the ACVVS program or not, we highly value your participation in our research.
This survey should take around 25 minutes to complete a survey in 2023/early 2024 and another one in 2025. We hope you can participate in the two rounds, as we would like to follow your experiences over the next three years. Your involvement will help improve our understanding of ageing in Australia.
In this survey, you will be asked questions about yourself, including feelings of loneliness.
Your answers will be kept confidential. You will not be named or identified in any results from this evaluation. You can read more information about how we will protect your anonymity in the Explanatory Statement.
Your participation in this study is voluntary. You have the right to leave the survey at any point, for any reason, without consequence.
The study has been approved by Monash University Human Ethics Committee (Project ID: 38678). You can contact them:
