The Workplace Diversity and Inclusion Diagnostic aims to identify and promote evidence-based initiatives and practices in your organisation for greater diversity and inclusion (D&I).
A large body of research shows that D&I are important for a fair and flourishing society. When managed well in the workplace, D&I provides many organisational benefits including positive employee wellbeing and relationships, as well as greater innovation, creativity, productivity and other drivers of business growth. Increasingly, organisations are looking for ways to achieve and manage workplace D&I. This has prompted the development of a number of new initiatives and practices, some of which your organisation may be doing. But how do we know that the things that we are doing are actually effective? And what sort of outcomes can we expect from them?
Completing this Workplace Diversity and Inclusion Diagnostic will help assess your organisation’s performance regarding its current initiatives and practices for D&I. The diagnostic is based on the scientific literature from the last 10 years on what works for organisational D&I. This literature is scientifically robust, relevant to the Australian context, based on theory, and empirically tested. Learn more about the methodology here.
What’s involved?
First you'll be provided with some basics and definitions of D&I and then asked to respond to some questions about current initiatives and practices that your organisation is doing. Once you have completed the self-rated diagnostic, you will receive an automatically-generated report on your workplace’s performance across 10 domains, as well as a total score indicating how well your organisation is carrying out these initiatives and practices including a summary of the research evidence that supports them, as well as resources for further progress.
How long will it take?
This diagnostic should take around 30 minutes to complete. You can suspend the survey and finish it another time if you close your browser. To complete the survey at a later time, click on the link to re-start where you left off.
